Close-up
Magic is magic performed right under your very eyes without
the aid of lighting, mirrors, cumbersome props or Ladies called
Debbie.
Performing Close-Up, Sleight Of
Hand Magic, with common objects, is a true test of a magician’s
skill, performed well it is something that can’t be appreciated
passively forcing you to think and question your own take on
reality.
But why may you want Close-up Magic?
Well for start it is convenient.
I am a one man act with a huge repertoire of magic, all self
contained props or borrowed ready to go anywhere at anytime
throughout your event. I don’t require a specific performing
area and I can stop and start at a moments notice.
You will be giving your guests something that probably most
of them will have never seen before. One of the first questions
I ask spectators prior to me performing is ‘have you ever
seen Close-up Magic performed live before?’ the majority
always answers ‘no’. Some have seen it on Television
but doubt its wonder because they have seen it only on TV. This
gives me the perfect level of expectation and suspense concluding
with guaranteed astonishment.
In my 11 years of performing I’d have to say it’s
almost impossible for someone to watch a good performance of
Close-up Magic, or sleight of hand artistry passively. You can’t
help but feel involved in a good show whatever you feel about
magic.
It’s fun, dynamic and involved.
Close up magic is a unique form
of entertainment at any social event, helping to break uneasy
silences and allowing your guests to interact. Magic is the
perfect ice breaker; formal occasions, social events or just
plain mix and mingle we’ve all been in a situation where
we don’t know everyone quite as well as we’re supposed
to, the grooms father, brothers lover, unwanted children or
the Mds wife, whatever, It can be awkward. Having me perform
will engage everyone with a moment of wonder allowing them to
react together and have an experience that will be talked about
long after I’ve gone. |
